Hey, I’m Benjamin Howes and I love making things.

I’m a Broadway, film and TV actor, an acting career coach, a content creator, a home renovator, a furniture builder - whatever the medium, I’m obsessed with telling stories and bringing characters to truthful life.

I started my performing career at home in Australia, but now, I’ve spent over 25 years acting in New York City. In 2025, I decided to start sharing everything I’ve learnt over that time, and The Working Actor NYC was born.

Now I coach one-on-one clients, lead workshops, and post daily short form content and weekly long form content. The sole purpose is to help actors build successful and sustainable acting careers - not because I have all the answers, but in over 25 years I’ve made plenty of mistakes, I’ve learned from them and I keep going.  You can learn all about The Working Actor NYC here.
